about
sketches for a new work inspired by a ca. 1,500 mile hike on the AT south from Maine to Virginia. Played on the piano by myself, but actually scored for string quartet. I'm posting these recordings to share the work I'm up to; when completed it will consist of several hours of music for string quartet.

It will be a book with several larger and smaller sections. These recordings are from the beginning of the book, the "Maine" section. I'm almost done with Maine, and soon will enter into New Hampshire and the White Mountains. I'll keep posting recordings as I make them.
